Luxurious Palace On Wheels Train Ready To Get Back On Tracks

Rated as one of the ten most luxurious train journeys in the world, the 14 coach air-conditioned Palace on Wheels is ready to go back on track. The luxurious train is well known for its mesmerising journey with the interior and aesthetics that resemble the Royal past of the Rajputs. Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation with Indian Railways launched this journey to promote tourism in Rajasthan in 1982.

Return In Operation Post Covid

Palace on Wheels will be back in operation after being halted for two years owing to the pandemic. Now that things are better, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has decided to bring this luxurious train back on track. There have been initial meetings between RTDC officials, tour operators both national and international, hoteliers and other stakeholders assuring that Palace On Wheels continues to be as charming as before.

Tourist Enquiries, Suggestions And Responses

Principal Secretary of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Mrs Gayatri Rathore revealed that they have been receiving a lot of enquiries from tourists regarding the commencement of the Palace Of Wheels. The initial meetings with stakeholders have also given them suggestions and responses which will be considered. The luxurious train is known for offering modern facilities amid heritage. The train offers a week-long journey which is both mesmerizing and enchanting.
