MakeMyTrip Is Witnessing A Major Growth In Searches For Lakshadweep

Following PM Modi’s work visit to this scenic Union Territory, it has recorded a significant rise in searches among travel enthusiasts. MakeMyTrip shared about a noteworthy increase in on-platform searches. His recent trip to this alluring place has proven to be a remarkable boost to tourism.

The online company observed a 3400 per cent increase in on-platform searches for Lakshadweep ever since Narendra Modi visited there. Seeing the major rise in interest in exploring Indian beaches, MakeMyTrip is launching the “Beaches of India” campaign. MMT announced this introduction on social media and also mentioned its “offers and discounts to encourage Indian travellers to explore the country’s stunning beaches”.

Flights To The Maldives Have Been Suspended

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, the CEO and co-founder of EaseMyTrip shared updates about flights to the foreign country.

EaseMyTrip has suspended flight ticket bookings to the Maldives. Apart from such flight suspensions by the company, even travellers are also cancelling their travel plans. A huge number of Indian travellers have cancelled their planned trips to the Maldives following the India-Maldives diplomatic row. Netizens are expressing their discontent on different social media platforms.
