Mumbai local trains, if you’ve been a part of its culture, have an ecosystem of their own. It is organised in its chaos and, at times, is a microcosm of society at large in the way it is structured. A video that recently went viral on social media exhibited a delightful moment from this para-culture.
The video showed relatively older people singing Kaanta Laga on a crowded train and dancing to it too. A couple of men were joyfully dancing while some were on drums (the walls of the train).
All in all, the band seemed very jovial and those who weren’t partaking in the spontaneous concert were enjoying the unique but not altogether surprising spectacle in front of them. You know what they say, youthfulness is a state of mind!
