Dubai’s J1 Beach is about to add another name to its dining line-up. Paris Society has announced that MŪN, its contemporary Japanese restaurant born on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, will open in the city at J1 Beach.
What To Expect At MŪN
The Dubai outpost will pair Japanese cooking with the group’s signature approach to design, dining and entertainment. There will be an indoor restaurant and an outdoor garden next to the beach, and the menu designed around sharing dishes. Music is part of the plan too, so the space will work for long dinners as well as livelier evenings out.
The Beachfront Setting
J1 Beach has been growing into a dining-led waterfront destination, and MŪN joins other international concepts setting up there.
A Familiar Name At J1 Beach
J1 Beach is the redevelopment of La Mer South, renamed and rebuilt around beach clubs and licensed restaurants. Paris Society has been linked to it since the early plans, when the group was named as the force behind the Dubai version of the Gigi Rigolatto beach club. MŪN adds a Japanese menu to that mix, and it comes from the same hospitality group.
What Paris Society Said
Rizwan Kassim said bringing MŪN to Dubai “has been an ambition for some time”. He added that J1 Beach gives the group a chance to contribute to a destination where dining is central to the beachfront’s appeal, and described the opening as a sign of confidence in Dubai. In his words, the restaurant brings Japanese cuisine and Parisian character to the city’s dining scene.
More Openings On The Way
MŪN is the lead name in a wider programme planned between late 2026 and early 2027. The group will bring more restaurant, beachfront and multi-concept venues to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. It has also been working on food and beverage concepts for upcoming hotel projects in Dubai, and its recent expansion has taken it to Miami Beach and Bodrum.
