Vande Bharat, the all-new train service in India, is all set to start on a new train route. This new train service which promises quicker and more comfortable travel with better services is starting a new train route to Shirdi. Mumbaikars can now make their way to Shirdi more quickly and comfortably than before. This new service is said to begin in the following month and will be open to the public then.

Vande Bharat: CSMT To Shirdi

The Central Railways (CR) is all set to introduce a new train route for the much-admired Vande Bharat express. This new route will be from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai to Shirdi, a popular religious destination. The inauguration of this new train route will be done on the 10th of February by the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi.

According to reports, initially, the inauguration was supposed to take place on the 19th of January, however, it got delayed owing to certain issues. Even now, the inauguration ceremony is still pending approval from the Prime Minister’s office, however, the officials have begun preparation for it.

Other Information About The Train

The train will be called the CMST-Shirdi Sainagar Express and will cover the distance between the two destinations in about 6 hours. Moreover, there is another Vande Bharat train route that will also begin soon. This is the CSMT to Solapur route. This train will cover the distance between the two destinations in about 6.5 hours.

Recently, there was an uproar on the Internet about the cleanliness, or lack of it, inside the Vande Bharat Express. Pictures of trashed coaches were posted online after which the Minister of Railway of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced that there will be a change in the cleaning system of all the Vande Bharat trains.
