Nawazuddin Siddiqui Survived On Parle-G During His Struggling Days

Bollywood is indeed a glamour industry and everyone wants to be closer to it and experience the royalty. Well, it is not that simple to make a mark on the Hindi film industry, especially for an outsider. When they say, the grass is always greener on the other side, it is actually correct. Aspiring artists struggle a lot to reach a noticeable monument in their careers. One of the biggest names in Bollywood, Nawazuddin Siddiqui did not get movies after movies served on a platter. It took him many years to be the household name that he is today.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui Came To Mumbai With ₹2,500 And A Dream

Sustaining life in Mumbai on a small budget is difficult And Nawazuddin came to the city of dreams with only ₹2,500 in his pocket. He worked as a watchman at the noon and did theater in the evening. He juggled everything to meet his ends in Mumbai back then. With this extreme dedication and passion for the art, he reached the pinnacle of his acting career. The sacrifices and the struggles that he did back then are resulting in his immense successful life now.

Parle-G Was His Everyday Meal

In an exclusive interview with Curly Tales, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared that he survived years with a cup of tea and Parle-G. He did not have that much money to spend on breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And hence tea and Parle-G was his meal three times every day. He continued this for almost 1-1.5 years. He shared in the ‘Eat-O-Meter’ round that his favourite biscuit is also Parle-G. When our host gave the Bollywood actor the option to choose between chai-biscuit and coffee-muffin, he of course chose chai-biscuit.

Siddiqui believes that hard work without proper thinking results in nothing. God has gifted you a brain and utilising the mind and its ideas while working hard and smart will lead you to your goals. Only hard work without any thinking is not enough to achieve what you need in your life.
