Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on July 3 posted pictures of the NH17 Goa-Karnataka highway on Twitter. Gadkari revealed in his caption that this highway is part of India’s world-class infrastructure- the foundation pillar of New India. He further stated that the 4-lane project of the Goa-Karnataka border to the Kundapur section of NH-17 in Karnataka is nearing completion. The highway connects Udupi, Surathkal, Panaji, Panvey, Mangalore, Kochi, Kanyakumari and other destinations.

The Goa-Karnataka 4-lane highway looks incredible. The 187-km stretch of this NH-17 highway has the picturesque Western Ghats on one side and the blue azure Arabian sea coast on the other. It’s simply breathtaking and would make every road trip from Karnataka to Goa, a special one. Gadkari said that 173 km of this project is completed. The road is open to traffic.
