Once Arabia Taxi adds Tesla Model 3 to its fleet, you will be able to hail these sleek taxis in Dubai. According to a news report by The National News, Arabia Taxi has signed an agreement with Tesla Motors in Dubai, wherein they will be adding electric vehicles to their feet. This comes in line with the aim of the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) to convert vehicles to electric, hybrid, or hydrogen-powered models by 2027. The plan is to add 269 Tesla cars to its fleet, which has about 6,000 vehicles.

However, it’s worth noting that it isn’t the first time that Tesla cars have been introduced in Dubai’s public transport system. Back in the year 2017, RTA started operations of 172 Tesla vehicles as a part of its fancier fleet. This fleet included 80 Tesla Model S, 42, Tesla Model 3, and 50 Tesla Model X. Moreover, the authority recorded positive indicators in terms of zero carbon emission and higher customer satisfaction rating, which prompted the Dubai Government to widen its scope of using electric and hybrid vehicles in the coming years. It’s worth mentioning that towards the end of 2022, Dubai already had 8,220 environment-friendly taxis out of the 11,300 taxis.

So, with the authorities trying so hard to ensure there is less carbon emission, isn’t it time to do your bit while hailing these public transport services? Moreover, who wouldn’t want to take a ride in a Tesla car?
