Need to book a last-minute tatkal ticket for travelling by train? Now you can do it from the comfort of your couch using a mobile application solely dedicated to tatkal booking. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation ( IRCTC) has announced the introduction of the ‘Confirm Ticket’ app that will let passengers book tatkal tickets with ease. What’s more, passengers will also be able to cancel tickets from the app, if required. Read on to know more.

View Tatkal Tickets On Various Trains Via Confirm Ticket App
Using the Confirm Ticket app, travellers will be able to view the availability of seats in various trains. The app will clearly display all the tatkal tickets available in different routes. Also, while logging in to the app, users can save their personal information. Thus, they won’t need to re-enter their details every time for logging in. If required, passengers can also cancel tickets from the app. The booking of tickets will depend on the availability of seats.

Passengers Can Make Their Payments Online
The availability of tickets through the app will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis. Passengers can book the tatkal tickets 24 hours before the time of the train’s departure. The tickets can be booked via online payment. Once the booking is confirmed, the passenger will get the ticket via SMS and e-mail. Meanwhile, Indian Railways Has Stated That It Will Take Action Against People Who Play Music Or Talk Loudly On Trains.
