To resurrect the magic present in old railway coaches, Indian Railways has given them a new lease of life. Old coaches will be transformed into gorgeous restaurants and the first one has come up in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur.

Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur Gets A Fine-Dining Railway Themed Restaurant

The Indian Railways has converted an old railway coach into a swanky train-themed restaurant in Jabalpur. West Central Railway revealed in a tweet that the railways shall earn a revenue of ₹13 lakh under its non-fare revenue. Old railway coaches taht aren’t fit for use will slowly be transformed into concept-based restaurants to offer foodies the best of both worlds- a nostalgic train ambience and lip-smacking food. Indian Railways Converts Old Coaches Into Restaurants

This first of a kind fine-dining experience at a railway station promises great food, beautiful ambience and railway vibes that you’d probably missed amid the pandemic. The best part is that this will not be the only railway restaurant. Six other restaurants at railway stations under the West Central Railway (WCR) will come up soon. According to a report by The New  Indian Express, ₹3.3 crore will be given to the railway to set up more such restaurants under the Bhopal and Jabalpur divisions.
