India’s superstar, Rajnikanth has flicked a bullet with his hand, opened a safe with his head, lit a cigarette with his eyes, played ball with grenades and fought thousands of robots in his films. Now, Thalaivar is all set to take on the ultimate challenge, to the absolute glee of his diehard fans. He will be featuring in a special episode of  TV presenter, Bear Grylls’ survival show, Man vs Wild. It will be shot at the 1974 established, Bandipur National Park in Karnataka. What’s In It?

The South Indian actor and the daredevil survival expert have already begun filming in the woods of the Bandipur National Park, which is known for its tiger reserve and biodiversity. According to sources, Rajinikanth left on 27th January to Mysore for the shooting. Punati Sridhar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of Karnataka stated to a reputed news agency that Rajnikanth and Bear Grylls are in Bandipur and they both have valid permission to carry on with their shooting.

He further added that without prior valid permission the two cannot even enter Bandipur Tiger Reserve. The department official also informed that shooting would go on till 30th January. According to the official, after the first day’s shoot, Rajnikanth had few bruises while filming Man vs Wild. While the crew left the venue, they would be back after a break and shoot till the month-end. Rajnikanth is one of the most successful and highly paid actors of India who has worked across industries and genres, and his name is etched in the hearts of cinephiles.

Bear Grylls had previously shot a Man vs Wild episode with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was telecast right after the Indian General Elections of 2019. After shooting for the episode with PM Modi, Grylls stated that it was pouring heavily and the duo also got hit with really big stones, on the day of the shoot at Corbett National Park. But he was surprised to see that despite the obstacles, PM Modi was calm and went ahead with the shoot. He commended the Prime Minister’s calm state of mind while filming.
