The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted heavy rainfall over the weekend. Yes, the UAE authority has therefore asked the public to be careful, as there are chances for thunderstorms and hail that will begin from Friday, March 8 and continue till Sunday, March 10. As a result, this can lead to flooding in some areas! So, several roads have been blocked, remote learning has been introduced in some schools, and other such developments have been taking place due to the unfavourable weather conditions in the UAE. Remote Learning In Ras Al Khaimah

Keeping the safety of children in mind, government schools in Ras Al Khaimah have gone into remote learning on Friday, March 8. It is expected that as the heavy rainfall takes over the UAE over the weekend, there might be flooding in some areas. Not to mention, strong winds are also expected, which can lead to low visibility on the road. However, the weather might take a turn for the worse from midnight on Friday till Saturday midnight. As a result, people have been warned to stay indoors and not go out until it’s absolutely unnecessary.

Sharjah Municipality Closes Parks

In Sharjah, parks have all been closed due to the adverse weather conditions forecast. Yes, Sharjah Municipality has reported that parks will remain closed over the weekend starting from March 8. However, it’s worth noting that the parks will reopen once again when the weather improves. It’s worth noting that the NCEMA, which is the National Emergency Crisis & Disaster Management Authority, revealed that unstable weather conditions will take over Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Ajman, Umm al Quwwain, Fujairah, and Sharjah.

Several Road Closures In The UAE

However, not just this, several roads leading to the valleys and the mountains have also been closed for the weekend. As the nation braces for such a severe weather condition, the report by Khaleej Times mentions that this road closure will remain in place until adverse weather conditions prevail. The same report also mentions that this weather condition will begin in the Al Dafrah and Al Ain regions before it spreads to Abu Dhabi and its suburbs. As it happens, fines and other penalties will also be levied for residents who put themselves and others in danger.

This comes after last month schools and offices went online when heavy rains last several parts of the country.
