Airlines were judged over 12 key criteria including fleet age, passenger reviews, investment ratings, staff relations, product offerings and profitability. For the first time, airlines from the Americas and Europe are on this list because it was expanded from top 10 to top 20. Although, space has been made for them to come out victorious, everybody knows the top 10 matter most. Here are the 10 best airlines in the world for 2020.

1. Air New Zealand

In the past 10 years, the airline has reduced its fuel burn and thus carbon emissions by almost 22%. This is ahead of the industry average. Japan’s All Nippon Airways bagged the third spot for its cabin innovation. Japanese architects and British designers came together to make the world’s best cabins for luxury travel. This Asian airline won the award for the world’s Best Long-Haul Airline. Hong Kong’s protest against the law of extradition to mainland China and social unrest caused hurdles for Cathay Pacific.
