Deepak Singh, the owner of Ganesh Restaurant in Karol Bagh, fries fish with his bare hands. Dipping his hand in hot boiling oil and taking out the fish looks almost effortless when our super cook Deepak does it!

We recently visited Karol Bagh which is one of the busiest and oldest areas of Delhi and found the most famous eatery here, Ganesh Restaurant. Let’s check out what it is!

Ganesh Restaurant has gained a lot of popularity because of its unique fish frying technique. The restaurant was started in the 1960s and has been running strong ever since. This unreal fish frying was started by Deepak’s grandfather and was then carried out by future generations.

“My grandfather started this trend of picking out fish from hot oil and he said it was actually cold! This has now become our tradition. We have been following it for 70 years.” said Deepak in a conversation with Curly Tales.
