Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has launched Mumbai to Goa sleeper cum seater non AC bus on December 9. The bus starting from Mumbai Central will ferry eager travel enthusiasts to their favourite beach destination at just ₹965. But yes, you need to wear masks, carry hand sanitizers and provide COVID-19 negative certificates on the return journey back from Goa to Mumbai. Read on to know more.

MSRTC Starts Mumbai To Goa Bus Service During Christmas

So, if you’re a Mumbaikar wondering how you can travel to Goa, then let’s help you with that. MSRTC has now launched Mumbai to Goa sleeper cum seater non AC bus service amid this Christmas season. For now, there will be one bus every day ferrying you from Mumbai Central to Panaji bus route.

Mumbai To Goa Bus Service Costs Just ₹965 Per Person One Way

According to a TOI report, the bus will leave Mumbai Central depot at 4:30 pm and reach Panaji the following morning. The cost for a one-way journey is just ₹965. An MSRTC spokesperson informed TOI that the bus has 15 sleeper berths and 30 pushback seats. The fare for both the sleeper berth and pushback seat remains the same. The rules suggest that private bus contractors are not allowed to charge more than 1.5 times ( ₹1500 ) of a government bus fare for a Mumbai to Goa trip. Passengers can visit Chiplun, Kankavli and Sawantwadi on the way to Panaji.

The spokesperson added that the fare for Kankavli is ₹785, Sawantwadi ₹875, Banda  ₹895 and Mapusa is ₹950. MSRTC officials revealed to Mumbai Live that they shall monitor the response of passengers on this Mumbai to Goa route. Depending on the demand MSRTC officials will decide whether to make this route a permanent option or just open this during the festive season.
