This Holi, Board 18 Pairs Of Special Trains; Follow Covid Safety Protocols During Travel

For the convenience of passengers and to control huge crowds, Railways has announced 18 pairs of Holi special trains. The trains will run between March 21 and 31, 2021, on a weekly, bi-weekly and tri-weekly basis. According to a Hindustan Times report, Ashutosh Gangal, general manager, Northern Railway, has told ANI, “In anticipation of a huge crowd in trains during Holi, Northern Railway will run 18 pairs of additional trains between March 21 and March 31. 18 pairs of puja special trains have been extended.” Read on to know more.

The Trains Will Help In Conveniently Managing Crowd

Railways will run 18 pairs of Holi special trains between March 21 and 31 to efficiently manage the anticipated crowd. Some of these special trains are as follows:

  1. 02335 Bhagalpur-Lokmanya Tilak T Special Train (Daily)
  2. 02336 Lokmanya Tilak T-Bhagalpur Special Train (Daily)
  3. 03402 Danapur-Bhagalpur Special Train (Daily)
  4. 03419 Bhagalpur-Muzaffarpur Special Train (Daily)
  5. 03420 Muzaffarpur-Bhagalpur Special Train (Daily)
  6. 03507 Asansol-Gorakhpur Special Train (Friday)
  7. 03508 Gorakhpur-Asansol Special Train (Saturday)
  8. 03509 Asansol-Gonda Special Train (Monday)
  9. 03510 Gonda-Asansol Special Train (Wednesday)
  10. 03511 Tatanagar-Asansol Special Train (Sunday, Tuesday and Friday)
  11. 03512 Asansol-Tatanagar Special Train (Sunday, Tuesday and Friday)
  12. 03512 Asansol-Tatanagar Special Train (Sunday, Tuesday and Friday)

On that note,  Indian Railways has also planned to launch its ‘zero-based time table’ that will cut down the average travel time of long-distance trains between 30 minutes and 6 hours.
