Turkish Airlines Is Now World’s Biggest Network Carrier

Turkish Airlines is known for the excellence of its airport, onboard, and personnel services. Recently the airline has become the world’s biggest network carrier based on the seat counts. The airline increased its seat capacity on International routes by 14% in August as compared to the capacity in 2019. The airlines are continuing to rise and grow after the pandemic hit the aviation sector badly. 

14% Seat Capacity Increased In Turkish Airlines

Chairperson of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, Dr. Ahmet Bolat said that they are now the world’s biggest network carrier in terms of the increased seat capacity now. He further spoke about how they achieved their goals by surpassing their own performance in 2019. He also commended the 65000 united workforce for its success in growing its available seat kilometres (ASK), a gauge of passenger carrying capacity. The number of passengers on the airlines went up to 7.8 million in July and August surpassing its records during pre-pandemic time.

Turkish Airlines Has Grown Over The Years

Once an airline which was not heard much of to become the world’s biggest carrier, Turkish airlines had its own journey. The airline was established in the year 1933. They have a fleet of more than 388 aircrafts and fly in 129  countries to over 340 destinations. The catering service of the  airlines is known worldwide. Be it economy class or business class, the flight serves you the best food. The airlines’ hub is in Istanbul which is one of the largest airports in the world. The route network of the airline is so incredible that it is said that if you aren’t finding flights to a destination, it is possible this airline to have it.
