Cigarette smoking is injurious to health’. A large chunk of the world population seems to ignore this statement. Be it a conventional one or an electric cigarette, the damage still occurs. Hence UAE has from now announced a ban on the use of e-cigarettes in enclosed spaces. There isn’t any specific fine announcement regarding the same. But soon it will be publicly announced.

On World Tobacco Day, May 31, the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) issued a strong message encouraging stop smoking in an awareness message.

The ministry debunks user beliefs that e-cigarettes or ‘vapes’ are not the same as other tobacco products. The Ministry clarified that e-cigarettes are specifically governed by Federal Law No. 15 of 2009 on Tobacco Control. In addition, the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) published a technical rule on e-cigarettes in 2019 called Electronic Nicotine Products. Regulations Surrounding Utilization of E-cigarettes

  4. The sale of sweets that look like cigarettes.
  5. Inside the country, automatic vending machines and devices installed to distribute tobacco.
  6. Advertisement for tobacco products.

 Smokers & Drinkers Be Aware Of This Clause
