UK PM Boris Johnson Visits Gujarat’s Akshardham Temple In Gandhinagar

On April 21, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited Gujarat’s famous Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar. Accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Governor Acharya Devvrat and High Commissioner of UK to India, HE Alex Ellis, Johnson visited the temple during his two-day visit to India. The British PM received a grand welcome in the temple with traditional dance and music shows.

UK PM Boris Johnson Paid Respect To Divine At Gujarat’s Akshardham Temple

During his visit to the temple, Boris Johnson was given an overview of Swaminarayan Akshardham. This is a 23-acre spiritual complex that is a heartfelt tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan. The temple is also a cultural haven that displays India’s ancient traditions, architecture and spiritual messages of devotion, harmony and faith. According to a report by India TV News, the UK PM stated that this was the mother of all temples, and it was the source of all wonderful temples across the world.

He Also Visited Sabarmati Ashram

He later paid tributes to the murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. He offered flowers and also performed Abhishek on the murti of  Shri Nilkanth Varni Maharaj. Apart from visiting Akshardham, Johnson also paid a visit to Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram. The UK Prime Minister was gifted copies of rare books written by Mahatma Gandhi including ‘Guide to London’.
