Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu during an event called ‘North East on Wheels’ stressed the importance to boost tourism in the North East sector. Calling northeastern states a traveller’s paradise, the Vice President revealed that many people still remain uninformed and unaware of the diverse experiences that the Northeast has to offer. So, Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu urged Indian travellers to explore North East, bask in its beauty and admire their rich culture and heritage.

Choose Domestic Tourism Instead of International Tourism

He further appreciated North East for paving the way in the field of organic farming and urged other states to take notes and inculcate these best practices while gradually shifting to sustainable agriculture. During the event, Naidu also persuaded Indian tourists to give preference to domestic tourism and touring all parts of India instead of flying abroad for tourism.
