World Book Fair 2025: From Venue To Timings, All About The Mega Book Fair Happening In Delhi This Year

Book lovers rejoice as the World Book Fair 2025 is set to be held in Delhi from February 1 to 9, 2025.  The literary extravaganza not only promises to bring together visitors from around the world but also engaging discussion and dialogue sessions by leading authors and scholars. The event is hosted by National Book Trust India under the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organisation.

“Republic@75” Is The Theme Of The World Book Fair 2025

Tickets for the event will be available online starting January 26, 2025, through the NBT India website (www.nbtindia.gov.in), as well as at select metro stations. The ticket prices are ₹20 for adults and ₹10 for children, with free entry for students in school uniforms and senior citizens. For those preferring to purchase tickets in person, they will also be available at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, at the venue’s entrance during the event from February 1 to February 9, 2025.

This year, the theme would be “Republic@75,”  to honour 75 years of India as a Republic. The theme demonstrates the nation’s journey of progress, equality, and freedom since 1950, emphasising social justice and constitutional rights like freedom of speech. With the slogan “Hum Bharat Ke Log” (“We, the People of India”), the fair highlights the collective spirit and values shaping modern India.

The World Book Fair 2025 will house a variety of tailored attractions for book lovers, authors and other industry professionals. The event will offer a rich blend of activities and spaces catering to diverse literary interests. There will be a dedicated Children’s Pavilion that will provide a fun zone for kids with storytelling and interactive sessions by top authors and educators to promote reading habits.

The Authors’ Corner (Lekhak Manch) pavilion will feature both seasoned and emerging writers engaging in author talks, panel discussions, and book launches.  There will also be a section on International Participation that highlights global authors and publishers fostering cultural exchange and discussions on global literary trends. There will also be a  YUVA Corner to celebrate young Indian authors selected through a national mentorship program, Workshops & Panels led by experts and much more.
