Leanne Marrie took to Instagram to share how her parents got stuck in an IKEA store in Dubai on April 16. Due to heavy rain, the city experienced a flood-like situation and Leanne’s parents were stuck there during this time. In the post, she mentioned that her parents decided to head to IKEA for dinner as it was the nearest store to where they had been in traffic for a long time. They were also the last customers in the store. When the IKEA staff found that the couple was planning to sleep in their car because of the flood outside, they offered them the place to spend a night!
They prepared a bed for the couple in the store so they could spend a comfortable night. Not just that, they even provided them with toiletries, snacks, pillows, and free breakfast the following day. Leanne even shared a series of pictures in the post where the elderly couple can be seen having a comfortable sleepover in the IKEA store in Dubai.
