India ka tyohaar has begun already and cricket fans worldwide are glued to the screens to enjoy the T20 league matches. Started on March 22, IPL 2024 kickstarted with full glory. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is hosting a few IPL matches this year. To avoid any chaos or unnecessary rush on the roads and disturbance for the locals, Ahmedabad traffic police recently shared an advisory with a list of important announcements. Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium Is Hosting 3 IPL Matches So Far

Taking to X, AHMEDABAD TRAFFIC POLICE (@PoliceAhmedabad) announced the advisory ahead of IPL 2024.

We do not have to say much about the craze and passion for cricket in India. There are fans and lovers, rather cricket fanatics in every household in this nation. IPL is surely no less than a celebration for enthusiasts. Thousands of fans are eagerly waiting to visit stadiums, witness live matches, and cheer for their favourite teams. BCCI has only released the fixture for the first 2 weeks. According to the schedule, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is hosting a total of 3 matches. The recently released traffic advisory has been announced for these days.

According to the advisory, vehicular movement will be restricted from Janpath T to the stadium’s main gate. Along with this, the restriction will apply from Krupa Residency to the main gate of the Narendra Modi Stadium. Alternate routes have been specified for commuters planning to travel on the restricted or diverted routes near the stadium.

The advised alternate route will begin from Tapovan Circle to ONGC. From there, commuters can head to Visat T Junction, Janpath T, Powerhouse Crossroads, and lastly reach the Prabodh Rawal Circle. Ahmedabad traffic police also advised an alternate route from Krupa Residency to Sharan Status Crossroads, moving forward to Koteshwar Road, and lastly reaching the Apollo Circle.

The diversions will come to action from 2 PM of the match day to the next day’s 2 AM. For March 31, the rules will be followed from 11 AM to 10 PM, according to a report by The Times of India.

The Traffic Advisory Is Not For…

The traffic advisory also stated that the restrictions and diversions will not apply to those cars and other vehicles that are associated with the cricket matches hosted at the stadium. Also, the rules are not for government vehicles on duty, ambulances, fire brigades, vehicles travelling for emergencies, and local residents of that area.
