15 Destinations We Checked Off Our Bucket List In 2022 That You Should Add To Yours!

2022 turned out to be a great year because of the amazing places we got to visit! It was a fantastic experience to not only explore the beauty of other countries but also the beauty of our own! What we also loved was that we were able to share these incredible moments with you! Indeed, we got to cross off many places on our bucket list. Here, we bring to you some of our favourite places that we visited and loved and think that you should also visit!

1. Nagaland

Known as the land of festivals, our visit to Nagaland was very memorable. We partook in the Hornbill festival of Nagaland and now, all the other festivals pale in comparison. We learned a lot about the unique culture and traditions of this place. You too should give this place a visit!

2. Kochi, Kerala

Our trip to Kochi gave us all the visual and experiential history lessons that our schools failed to give us. What is more, the local cuisine has us all slobbering. The kadala curry and the banana fritters were truly worth the hype!

3. Vietnam

This has to be one of the most culturally and historically rich places we’ve ever had the privilege of visiting! We thought that finding vegetarian food in Vietnam would be a pain but it turned out to be a pleasure! Not only is vegetarian Vietnamese food delicious, but it is also largely underrated! 4. Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh

In case it wasn’t obvious, Himachal Pradesh is one of our favourite places to visit! We just keep coming back to it. And why won’t we? The richness of history and culture found in this place is unparalleled. In this video, we explore the breathtaking Tirthan Valley.

5. Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh

Also known as mini Thailand, this mesmerising place is largely unknown and that is why we mainly wanted to explore it. We wanted to show the world that hidden away in the jungles of Himachal is a gem that the world is sleeping on. Use our itinerary and visit this place at least once in your lifetime.

6. Shore Temple, Tamil Nadu

We’ve all heard of Atlantis, the mythical and legendary sunken city. But we have a real-life Atlantis right here in Tamil Nadu? The Shore Temple which overlooks the Bay Bengal, is an age-old monument. It was built during the Pallava Dynasty and is a UNESCO world heritage site. It has survived countless tsunamis and was even submerged at one point! Watch the video to learn more!

7. Bahrain

Bahrain is already one of the most iconic places to visit and we’d be surprised if it wasn’t already on your bucket list. However, we recommend that you visit these lesser-known hidden jewels when you visit this place rather than the usual tourist attractions.

8. Kumarakom, Kerala

A state so nice, we ended up coming back twice! Celebrating Onam in Kerala for us was a dream come true! We got to have the true blue Mallu experience complete with a ginormous Sadhya! What is more authentic than a Sadhya in Kerala during Onam?

9. Hobbit House Near Mumbai, Maharashtra

This place made all our Lord of the Rings Fantasy come to life! This beautiful getaway is tucked underground near Mumbai and Pune. Its interiors are a unique mix of earthen rustic decor and opulent furnishing.  The property has a total of five rooms and you can either book the entire place or just the 2-room or 3-room home. With breathtaking views of the Sahyadri mountains, this is the perfect fantastical getaway!

10. Ross Island, Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Who doesn’t dream of an island getaway with beautiful pristine beaches and fresh sea breeze? We got to live the dream when we visited Ross Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The size of the island might be small but not its beauty. You need to visit this place in order to witness its beauty.

11. Wayanad, Kerala

Yes, we keep coming back to this gorgeous state because just a couple of visits are not enough to capture its beauty! This time, we went to Wayanad, one of the greenest places in Kerala. We got to witness the luscious tea farms and got to try some fun activities like zip-lining. Truly an adventure!

12. Hampi, Karnataka

There were many reasons why the Hampi trip was so memorable, and the beauty of this place was definitely on top of that list. It is as if the ancient village casts an enchantment and everyone who visits is hypnotised by its ancient charm. If you love all things old, you should definitely put this place on your travel bucket list.

13. Baku, Azerbaijan

As a tourist destination, Azerbaijan definitely receives less hype than it deserves. We Discovered this on our Trip to Baku which is the capital city of Azerbaijan. It is also the largest city in the country and explored all of it! Watch our adventure to learn more about this amazing place.

14. Dholavira

We fell in love with this age-old city of Dholavira in Gujarat. We got to witness its beauty while driving from Bhuj. A World Heritage Site, this place gripped us with its beauty. Along with it, we also crossed the Rann of Kutch and its beauty is already very well known throughout.

15. Similipal

What you’ll see in this video is are the awe-inspiring forests of Similipal Tiger Reserve. Indeed, it is an abode fit for the majestic beast. We got to walk on the wild side, literally, on the jungle safari. It is, by far, the best way to explore the beauty of this place! Worth adding to your bucket list!
