Dubai embraces Yoga and encourages Emiratis to calm their senses by including this rejuvenating practice in their lifestyle. So there was no surprise that a mega event was arranged to celebrate International Yoga Day. The annual mega event is set to take place at Dubai Rashid Port and we are expecting a huge crowd flocking the venue on 21st June 2023.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) keeps celebrating the International Day of Yoga. The event will be held this year at Port Rashid. Why this site you might think! Well, this site carries a historical significance because of its long-standing commercial ties with Kerala, India.
The UAE has embraced yoga’s attraction to many cultures, and the event will include a number of events.
The list of events includes yoga classes on board INS Brahmaputra in which Indian Navy Sailors will take part. India and the UAE’s maritime ties are further strengthened by the presence of the Indian naval ship INS Brahmaputra. Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Tolerance, and Sunjay Sudhir, India’s ambassador to the UAE, will be in charge of the festivities. Both dignitaries have been actively involved in promoting Yoga in UAE.

On June 17th, Abu Dhabi hosted a prelude event for the ninth International Yoga Day. The renowned Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi hosted the event. The Indian Embassy has made a significant contribution to the event’s planning. The primary event following the one in Abu Dhabi is taking place at Dubai Rashid Port.
The purpose of the International Day of Yoga is to increase public awareness of the healing abilities of yoga. As people from all around the world unite to celebrate this event, it presents a chance to consider the overall advantages that yoga has for both individuals and communities. And the event held in Abu Dhabi had a great engagement which spoke volumes about the importance of this activity in one’s life.
