If there’s one thing all of us can collectively agree on, it has to be the immense craving to visit a gorgeous beach. Just the feeling of walking on the soft white sand and dipping our legs in the splashing blue waters while watching the glorious sunset is just mesmerising. Well, there’s a hidden wonder in Karnataka known for its cleanliness and natural beauty and is a sight to behold indeed. The Blue Flag certified Padubidri Beach in Karnataka is a must-visit.

Padubidri Beach In Karnataka Opens Doors To Public Again

The serene blue waters, soft white sand and lush greenery at Karnataka’s Padubidri beach welcomes tourists from December 17. The Udupi district administration permitted both domestic and foreign tourists to the Blue Flag certified Padubidri beach. District Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha informed TNIE that all works connected with the blue flag certification has been completed. The Union Ministry of Environment and Society of Integrated Coastal Management (SICOM) lent their full cooperation.

It Is One Of The Cleanest Beaches In India

Earlier, Padubidri beach received the blue flag international recognition on October 11. Awarded by an international jury of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Denmark, the beach has now been recognised as one of the cleanest beaches in India. It is also one of the cleanest eaches in the world. Apart from Padubidri, tourists can also visit Kasargod beach in Karnataka. This is the second beach in the state to receive a Blue Flag certification.

Domestic & International Tourists Can Visit This Blue Flag Certified Beach

Jagadeesha revealed to TOI that the district administration initially permitted tourists to visit the beach after the jury announced the results. But due to some pending bamboo cladding work on the beach, they closed it for further development. Now, that Padubidri beach is well-equipped to handle tourists, visitors can stroll in for a leisure time. Infact there will also be a formal blue flag hoisting ceremony on a later date.
