Delhi is now home to many premium alcohol stores that provide the ultimate shopping experience to customers. Right now, there are a total 48 of such shops in different parts of the national capital. The Delhi government came to the conclusion of opening these exclusive vendors. Here are the reasons behind the government taking the decision to open these stores in the city.

The government stores are usually much smaller and the customer experience is also not that great due to insufficient space. The small area of government shops is the reason behind the opening of these stores, according to a report by The Indian Express.  With the initiation of these exclusive alcohol shops in different parts of the city, people can enjoy a wide variety to choose from and also have a better shopping experience.

There are a plethora of booze brands available at these premium vendors, giving consumers some great options to choose their products from. Along with a rise in choices, the ambience of these stores amps up the buying experience as well. Spread over bigger areas, these shops have ample space where buyers can enter, walk in, explore, select their favourites, and purchase.

An official has shared some details about these shops with Indian Express. As shared by the official, most of these stores are somewhere between the size of 400 sq ft and 1400 sq ft. The minimum size of an L6 store is 300 sq ft and the minimum size for an L10 vendor is 500 sq ft.

  • Greater Kailash
  • Malviya Nagar
  • Mayur Vihar

With these new stores in Delhi, the government is hoping to see a rise in the sales of alcohol. Along with a change in numbers, they also hope to stop illegally importing booze from nearby places.
