Etihad Is Launching Its First NFT Featuring 3D Aircraft Model

NFT has become a rage among people in recent years. Seems like it has turned into an aspect of popular culture where everywhere want to just join the bandwagon. Etihad Airways, the main airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the arrival of its first non-fungible token (NFT) collection. The EY-ZERO1 collection includes 10 3D models of aeroplanes, each of which sports a distinctive livery for an Etihad Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

What Is EY-ZERO1 NFT Collection?

The Polygon blockchain is where EY-ZERO1 will be specifically created. Etihad Airways will work with Aerial.is to analyze the NFTs’ CO2 emissions. In 2022, the airline will use the entire amount of the collection’s revenues to buy green aviation fuel. Emirates, a Dubai-based airline, likewise declared in April that it would introduce NFTs and encounters for both its clients and staff members in the metaverse.

The 2003 restricted antiques, which represent the year Etihad Airways was formerly founded, will all go on sale on July 21 at 6 p.m. UAE time. Amidst the treasures are planes with the Greenliner and Manchester City FC themes from Etihad.

The purchase of an NFT entitles the owner to quick entry into Etihad Guest’s Silver tier for a period of one year. 10 NFT owners are eligible to win free flights with the airline. Additionally, owners will receive early access to future NFT collections and future metaverse items from the airline.

The airline will allot to those who or before by July 16 on etihad.com/zero1. On etihad.arcube.io, each NFT will cost $349 plus tax, and the sale will end on August 18 at 6 p.m. local time.
