Andaman & Nicobar To Promote Tourism With New Offerings
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Andaman and Nicobar Islands have introduced and will continue to introduce many new travel experiences for tourists. The islands are pushing for a more vibrant tourist-friendly archipelago this year. With this telos, the government has expanded airline partnerships, opened unexplored islands, given the green signal for late beach nights and more.
Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Keshav Chandra, stated to Hindustan Times that eco-friendly infrastructure will come up in four islands and 11 tourist cities in Andaman and Nicobar. Furthermore, he stated that beaches in Andaman and Nicobar will now be open to tourists for late-night bio-luminescence viewing. Also, with beaches open till late at night, tourists can view the heavenly night sky.
Cheaper Airlines, 5-Star Hotel & More In The Works
Also, the government is making serious efforts to reach out to airline operators. What will come out of this are competitive and affordable tickets for tourists. Also, there are numerous initiatives in places to grant tourists access to uninhabited islands like Cinque Island for day tourism. Port Blair will have seaplane services to ferry tourists to inter-island destinations. A 5-star property at Megapode in Port Blair is in the works. For this land at Radha Nagar Beach in Dweep (Havelock Island) has been leased out.
Tourists can look forward to improved night cruises with dinner facilities, night kayaking, houseboats and more. To promote tourism activities, bird watching, caravans, luxury tent accommodations and houseboats are in the works. The administration is also looking forward to starting international connectivity from Port Blair. Cheaper air connectivity will attract tourists from Southeast Asian nations.
