If you’re a frequent air traveller, you’d know that any comment, joke or conversation about bombs in an airport is a strict no-no. The security shall not take it in good jest and the consequences are dire, even involving instant interrogation or even arrest. Along similar lines, recently, a man was arrested at Cochin International Airport for passing a comment about bombs during the security check.

Man Interrogated For Saying “Bomb” At Cochin Airport

As per a report by Hindustan Times (HT), 42-year-old Manoj Kumar was set to fly from Kochi to Mumbai on Air India flight AI 682. At the X-ray Baggage Inspection System (XBIS), he asked a CISF officer if there was a bomb in his bag. His “bomb” comment instantly raised an alarm and this led to an in-depth inspection of both his cabin and checked-in baggage by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS).
