This year, April 6, is celebrated across India as Hanuman Jayanti. The atmosphere in every nook and corner of the world is filled with love and devotion. There are Shobha yatras, poojas, hawans, cultural programmes in various states, and amidst this comes great news. Home Minister Amit Shah officially unveiled the 54-feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman in Gujarat’s famous temple located in Salangpur. 

Amir Shah Unveils Hanuman Statue In Gujarat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is in Gujarat for the 44th foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party. On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, he unveiled the 54-feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman in Gujarat’s most revered temple, the Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple in Salangpur. 

The beautiful statue is located in the backyard of the Lord Hanuman temple. It is built on an area of 1,35,000 sq feet, and the total diameter is about 754 feet. 

The statue is a ‘Panchdhatu’ statue, which means that it is made using 5 different materials. The weight of this statue is about 30,000kg. It can be seen from a distance of 7 kilometres away. 

It is designed under the guidance of Swami Gyanjibvandasji and is created by Nareshbhai Kunawat, a Rajasthan-origin artist.

Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple

Lord Hanuman, here, is known as the King of Salangpur, and the temple hosted a grand pooja and ceremony before unveiling this amazing statue. Acharya Maharajshree and Swamiji were also present at the event. The event saw a swarm of devotees and a splendid performance by Osman Mir.

The unveiling of the statue was grand, and people felt blessed to have been a part of this ceremony. Construction labour involves the use of CNC machines, 3D printers, and 3D routers. For the next 5,000 years, the statue will remain guarded and unharmed, unaffected by earthquake shocks.

Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple is a revered temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, who is known to symbolise pure devotion. The temple is situated in the Botad district, and devotees from across India and the world visit in huge numbers.
