On Thursday, June 25, the darshan in Puri’s Jagannath Temple was closed temporarily from 1 PM to 6 PM. As per Free Press Journal, this temporary closure was because of Rukmini Harana Ekadashi and the sacred Rukmini Vivah rituals. These ceremonies are very important in the Jagannath tradition, and devotees celebrate them with great faith every year.
