There are many of us who have dreams of visiting beautiful European countries and experiencing their rich culture and history. However, the hassle of applying for a visa and all the paperwork surrounding it can be overwhelming and offputting. However, there is one European island that you can visit for which you do not need any visa. This is the Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. It is a breathtaking French island that is a must-visit for everyone.

Generally, Indians travelling to European countries would need a visa before they reach their destination. However, when it comes to this French Island, this is not the case. The Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean does not have a visa as a prior requirement for visiting this place.

There is a flight from the Chennai International Airport directly to Reunion island. If you manage to get this flight, you can reach the island without any layovers or connecting flights. This means that your travel can be short and convenient.

However, it is important to keep in mind that this flight takes off only once a week. The flight is of a total duration of 6 hours and takes off from Chennai on Saturday morning. This flight then returns to Chennai on the evening of the following Friday.

In order to take advantage of the visa waiver, all you need to do is apply for it and submit some documents that are required. You will have to submit the dates of your visit, your plane tickets, your travel insurance, and your hotel reservations. After fulfilling this formality, you are free to visit the island without a visa for up to 15 days. You can apply for the waiver on the official tourism website of the island.
