Harsha Bhogle Slams IndiGo For Passenger Treatment
One day I am going to invite people from @IndiGo6E home for dinner and ask them to wait outside the door till the table is laid and the food is cooked. #Rude. Always #IndigoFirstPassengerLast
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) March 23, 2025
On Sunday, Harsha Bhogle slammed IndiGo for the airline’s “passenger last” and “rude” attitude with a witty X (formerly Twitter) post. While the reason for the swipe at the airline isn’t quite clear from the post, it appeared that the famous commentator was complaining about having to wait for a flight despite its scheduled departure.
In the post, he humorously said that he would like to invite IndiGo staff to his home one day, only to make them wait outside until the table is set and the food is ready. He tagged the airline in the post and even added the hashtag “#IndigoFirstPassengerLast”.
Mr Bhogle, we truly appreciate you taking the time to speak with us and share your experience. We regret the brief wait you experienced due to our team assisting wheelchair users in boarding the flight. We appreciate your patience & understanding. 1/2

Remote bay boarding can sometimes take a little longer due to ongoing vehicular and aircraft movement on the tarmac. Thank you for your support & we hope you had a pleasant flight! Looking forward to serving you again soon. ~Team IndiGo 2/2

Responding to Harsha Bhogle’s post, IndiGo apologised for the “brief wait” that occurred due to the staff prioritising wheelchair users in boarding the flight. They further added that “Remote bay boarding can sometimes take a little longer due to ongoing vehicular and aircraft movement on the tarmac”.

Hundreds of netizens commented about facing similar issues with the airlines, while others agreed that its passenger treatment needs immediate improvement. Many commented that while most airlines face certain delays, IndiGo’s customer service makes it one of the “worst”. Here are some comments from the post that you cannot miss out on.
Thing is so many complain about @IndiGo6E @airindia – NOTHING changes – just nothing .. time for more competition I guess

Inviting IndiGo staff for dinner:
Step 1 -Make them wait outside till operational clearances are sorted.
Step 2 -Randomly change the dining room at the last minute.
Step 3 – Charge extra for priority seating.
Step 4 – Apologize for the inconvenience and thank them for…

If @bhogleharsha have to face such issues, then what about the general public? #Indigo indulging in life time high profits with zero customer service.

@IndiGo6E – I so agree with @bhogleharsha , soon the airlines should start focusing on basic customer experience and behaviour. staff is getting paid because we buy tickets. Better they get the act correct soon or it won’t take people to turn their back and stop buying tickets.

It’s supposed to be a low cost airline . What do you expect sir?
— Aditya U (@AdityaU82378240) March 23, 2025
But you have to give them full marks for equality!
Celebrity or commoner…they are rude to everyone!

That would still be very nice treatment to indigo. Even the simple varan bhat at home is 10 times better than the cold sandwiched they serve. Full taste gets ruined
— Dhanashree Joglekar (@dhanashree0910) March 23, 2025
No airline operates without delays in our country but indigo are the worst. Once they broke my luggage and the 2nd time they apparently had to fly 20 mins early, leading to miss my flight.
And lets not talk about their customer service, the WORST!!— Abhishek Kumar (@Abhisheyk_) March 23, 2025
Also charge them for the plates, water bottle/glass and other cutlery items separately 😂
— Apurv Anand (@apurv_anand) March 23, 2025
I’ll do one better- invite them when the cleaning staff is yet to get in and keep the guests queued up outside the door or in the street. Then serve them portions that are insufficient and charger for every additional serve. And never smile.

What about inviting them for lunch and opening the door at dinner?

It’s been more than a year that I haven’t flown by #Indigo and I haven’t faced any harassment since. #IndigoFirstPassengerLast

Unfortunately I do agree, my last journey was such a harrowing experience with them.
— Ainkareswar (@kainkareswar) March 23, 2025
Hahaha, that’s a humorous way of putting it. Just saw another video of the flight taking off 15m early without any announcements, strange! @IndiGo6E we thought you were one of the best in the league. 😕

This waiting has been going on for years. What @IndiGo6E has been doing is called “shifting the goal post”. They give the illusion of being efficient. Their in flight food has become the worst ever, airhostess. On-time arrival is a joke ( read “shifting goal post).

Rightly said indigos customer service is pathetic and they are rude… the food they serve is pathetic…The seats remind me of talkie theater bench seats…No other go we have to use their airlines…india needs more airlines
