Japan Has The Strongest Passport In 2022; Here’s Where Indian Passport Stands

According to the Henley’s Passport Index Q3 2022 global ranking, Japan has the strongest passport in the world with visa-free access to 193 nations. The passports of Singapore and South Korea have been ranked the world’s second strongest passports with visa-free access to 192 nations. Both German and Spanish passports have received the third position with visa-free access to 190 countries. Afghanistan is found to have the weakest passport in the world with visa-free access to just 27 countries. Indian passport has received the 87th rank with visa-free access to 60 nations.

India Gets 87th Rank With Visa-Free Access To 60 Nations

India has the 87th strongest passport in the world with visa-free access to 60 countries including the Maldives, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Serbia, Haiti, Bhutan, Cambodia, Nepal, Botswana, Somalia, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Laos, Grenada, Barbados and the British Virgin Islands among others. India’s rank in the passport index has slipped by three positions from 84 in 2021. However, it has visa-free access to more countries now. The visa-free score of the Indian passport in 2021 was 58.
