The first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions Maharashtrian food is puran poli, thalipeeth or misal, but they are merely the tip of the iceberg. The cuisine offers a rich voyage of sensations thanks to a variety of ingredients that range from millets to a potpourri of unique spices. A mother-and-son team from Mumbai was astounded by the superiority of each product when they discovered several women-led self-help groups producing Maharashtrian food. The meal they were producing was nothing less than extraordinary, made with the finest ingredients and traditional methods.

The women in this self-help group were individuals who used their businesses as a means of coping with difficulties and obstacles in their personal life and sought a steady source of income. However, the returns were far lesser compared to the amount of work they put into these products. This is how Aazol got its start.

Aazol is also an effort to modernise and popularise Maharashtrian food to a wider customer base because of their sole concentration on the cuisine. The range of goods sold under the Aazol brand is extensive, from Soft Coconut Jaggery Chikki, dubbed India’s original energy bar, to Malvani Chicken Masala, which is created and sourced from the Konkan district of Maharashtra.

Along with pre-made goods, they also offer a wide range of ingredients, such as Unpolished Indrayani Rice from a group of organic farmers in the tribal region of Kasare in the Maharashtra district of Dhule.

The brand is committed to upholding common environmental, social, and governance norms. They also make sure that their products are wholesome, supplied by producers that farm or produce them sustainably, and are a good option for their clients.
