Louisiana’s World-Famous Chicken Restaurant Popeyes Makes Way To Indonesia

Talk about crunchy, crispy chicken snacks, and I am so sure Popeyes comes to mind. For people who do not know about it, Popeyes is an iconic global brand that makes crunchy as well as juicy chicken snacks, rice bowls, wraps, burgers, and more. This popular Louisiana chicken restaurant brand is now making its way to Indonesia. Restaurant Brands Asia has launched this US fried chicken brand in Indonesia.

Popular Chicken Restaurant Popeyes, Now In Indonesia

The master franchise of the Burger King brand in India, Restaurants Brand Asia, has launched many outlets of Popeyes in Indonesia. Popeyes has opened four restaurants across Jabodetabek, Indonesia. Supermal Karawaci, Kelapa Gading, Margo City Mall, and Skyline are the four places. The brand has plans to expand its presence in the country with over 300 restaurants in the coming years.

The Chicken Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) category is the fastest-growing one in Indonesia. This created a huge opportunity for a world-famous chicken restaurant brand like Popeyes to enter the country, and they did not miss on it. The brand is a 300-year-old culinary tradition that includes a fusion of spices, ingredients, and cooking style. It is one of the largest chicken QSRs in the world and has a presence in over 30 countries.

Chicken Destination In Indonesia

CEO of Restaurant Brands Asia, Rajeev Varman, said that the launch of Popeyes in Indonesia is part of a strategic expansion plan catering to consumer demand. This is because they have launched their iconic Louisiana-style chicken in the country, which has fried chicken as the largest and fastest-growing category. Brand President of Popeyes Indonesia, Sandeep Dey, said that they are very delighted to serve the Indonesian people with an amazing range of chicken formats.

The country’s staple foods are fried chicken and rice, and Popeyes is ready to serve them with the best-in-class taste and bold flavours. Rafael Odorizzi, President of the RBI and APAC, the parent company of Popeyes, said that their entry into the country showcases their commitment towards serving guests around the world with their flavorful New Orleans-style menu. The menu will feature new items developed with the local taste of the country in mind, along with global favourites.
