Dubai is getting another neighbourhood mall, and this one has a purpose beyond shopping. Awqaf Dubai, the emirate’s endowment and minors’ trust foundation, has announced a Dhs73 million shopping centre in Hind City, developed with Voco Investments. The Dubai Media Office shared the details on 20 October.
Dubai’s Next Mall Has 40 Shops And A Charitable Twist
Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (Awqaf Dubai) launches an AED73 million endowment shopping centre project in Hind City, in collaboration with Voco Investments. The shopping centre will be developed on a 90,400-square-foot plot and will comprise two floors housing 40 retail outlets. Scheduled for completion within two years, the project will generate proceeds to support mosque affairs across Dubai.

What We Know About The Mall
The centre will sit on a 90,400-square-foot plot and rise over two floors, with space for 40 retail outlets. Construction is expected to be completed within two years, so residents should look towards late 2028 for the doors to open.
At 40 outlets, this is a community-scale project rather than a destination mall. It is aimed at neighbourhood shopping, not a full day out. Awqaf Dubai is leading the project, with Voco Investments coming in as its partner on the development.
Where The Money Goes
This is an endowment project, which means the mall is built to earn income for a cause rather than simply to trade. In Islamic tradition, a waqf sets an asset aside for good and directs its income to a charitable purpose. Here, the proceeds will support mosque affairs across Dubai.
Since Awqaf Dubai looks after endowments and minors’ affairs in the emirate, a mall that funds mosques sits squarely within its remit. For shoppers, it also means the money spent at these shops feeds a charitable cycle without any extra effort on your part.
Which Shops Are Moving In?
Nothing has been confirmed yet. The tenant list, including any supermarkets, cafes or restaurants, has not been shared, and more details are expected to follow at a later date.

What To Watch Next
Dubai already has some of the busiest malls in the world, so the newer launches are leaning towards community living, with shops and services placed closer to home. Hind City adds a charitable angle on top, which makes it one to keep an eye on.
