2. Mechuka, Arunachal Pradesh

The picture-perfect hamlet of Mechuka in the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh is detached from the mainland and sits roughly 29 kilometres away from MacMahon Line that separates India and China. With dense forests, snow-capped mountain and deep gorges, the misty and magical hilly village beautifully unfurls the countryside charm. It is also known as Forbidden Valley of Arunachal Pradesh as the village was inaccessible by road until Dalai Lama visited the 400-old monastery in 2003.
