A video these days from Bengaluru Airport T2 is doing the rounds on social media for the wrong reasons. The video shows the roof of Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) leaking during the rains in the city. Netizens expressed their opinions on the same in the comments section. Many said that the newly-built terminal would transform into Wonderla during the rainy season.

Bengaluru Airport T2 Roof Leaks

A video from Bengaluru Airport T2 posted on Twitter by @pragnalkrupa has garnered a lot of attention on the microblogging site. The video features rainwater seeping inside the structure through the roof as the city witnesses light rains.

The video showed water seepage and stagnation outside the arrival area. The leakage looked very heavy, and the sanitation staff found it very difficult to clean. Passengers, especially elderly ones, faced difficulties passing through the area. Airport staffers walked in with wheelchairs to help them. 

The Terminal 2 of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru was one of the most anticipated projects not only in the state but also in the country. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November 2022. The terminal was opened to the public on January 15.

Netizens Called The Early Inauguration A Mistake

The video posted on Twitter by @pragnalkrupa has by far garnered 90.7K views and over 300 likes. As soon as the video was posted, many users commented with their opinions on the same. 

The rain witnessed by the city on the day this video was captured was light. Users said that if this is the situation during light rains, during the rainy season, the terminal might transform into Bengaluru’s famous water park, Wonderla. 

Many Netizens called the early inauguration of the Bengaluru Airport T2 building a big mistake. Some users pointed out that the inauguration of incomplete projects generally leads to such situations, and the general public has to suffer.

Bengaluru Airport too commented on the post stating reasons for the leakage and how they will be taking care of the same.
