Noida International Airport: From New Riverfront To 3 New Cities, Film City And More Details About It

The Noida International Airport (NIA) is now expected to open by the end of 2024. The UP and Central governments are trying to speed up the work for an early opening of the airport. Apart from the airport, many new infrastructure projects are also being built near this mega project. The detailed project report has already been finalised and will be sent to the governments.

New Infrastructure Projects Near Noida International Airport

The various new infrastructure projects being built near Noida International Airport include Noida Fintech City and Noida Film City. Along the Yamuna Expressway near the airport at Jewar, three full-fledged cities are also being built. The aim is to convert it into a major industrial centre. The three cities are New Noida, New Agra and Tappal Bajna City. For better aerial connectivity, all these cities will be built near the airport.

A draft report has been submitted to the Yamuna Authority. In the draft report, it is said that religious tourism and Braj culture should both be promoted here in order to accommodate visitors to Mathura-Vrindavan. Budget hotels, adventures, wellness centres, and resorts might also be developed here. The final phase of the project calls for 2 runways, which will eventually be expanded to 6 runways and 4 terminals, making it India’s largest airport.

The cities that will be built near Noida International Airport will have commercial, institutional and industrial activities. On 11,000 hectares of land, Tappal Bajna city will be built. It is along the Yamuna expressway in the Aligarh block. It will serve as a warehousing and logistics cluster. New Noida will have all the amenities found in a large city. It will also be a significant residential and industrial area.

New Agra will be built on 12,000 hectares of land. It might also serve as a focal point for the city’s famous leather industry. The Yamuna Authority will create New Vrandavan in Raya. 9359 hectares of land will be used to construct the heritage city, and a tourism zone will be the initial stage. A new riverfront will also be built near Noida. It will also have a multi-modal cargo hub with seamless processes and integrated facilities.
