Noida To Get Two New Parks By Month End In Sector 150 & Sector 91

Noida is home to some beautiful parks like the Okhla Bird Sanctuary, Surajpur Bird Sanctuary and Worlds of Wonder that attract tourists from all over Delhi NCR. Now two more new parks, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and a biodiversity park will come up at Noida’s Sector 150 and Sector 91 respectively. The total budget for the development of these two parks is around ₹48 crores. They might open up for the public by the end of this month.

Noida Authority To Finish Works On Four Projects By Month End, Including Two Beautiful Parks

The Noida Authority recently informed that it is aiming to complete works on four projects worth around ₹220 crores by month-end. The 4 projects include:

  • Underground car parking in Film City Sector 16A
  • Underground car parking in Sector 3
  • Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park in Sector 150
  • Biodiversity Park in Sector 91

The budget for the development of the Film City car parking is around ₹110 crores. Nearly ₹62 crores are to be shelled out to develop the car parking in Sector 3. The remaining two parks, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and a biodiversity park have budgets of nearly ₹23 crores and ₹25 crores respectively. The work on these projects had started earlier but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the Noida authority has informed that they are ‘giving finishing touches to these four projects’.

75-Acre Biodiversity Park In Sector 91 Is Going To Be The Largest In The City

As per reports, general manager, Noida authority, Rajiv Tyagi said, “We are giving finishing touches to these four projects so that these can be completed by September end, and be open for public use at the earliest.”  The authority had decided to develop a park in the memory of Shaheed Bhagat Singh back in 2016. According to the officials, 2,000 trees and 75,000 shrubs have already been planted in the Sector 150 park so far. The 75-acre biodiversity park in Sector 91, along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, will be the city’s largest park once ready. The officials have planted around 19,625 ornamental trees and 4,322 traditional trees like banyan, mango. jamun and neem in this park.
