It is heartening to know that PETA has collaborated with a design firm, Desmania Design to replace the elephant rides at Amer Fort with an electric vehicle. Called “Maharaja”, the model resembles a royal chariot suitable for the hilly terrain of the fort. The chariot can ferry four tourists around.
