That’s because Rajdhani Express has launched #MissionRaftaar, which has trains now travelling at 160 kmph from the earlier 130 kmph. This will cut your travel time by a massive 5.5 hours. The Indian Railways has cut down the travel time on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Howrah routes under its 100-day action plan. Under #Mission Raftaar the average train speeds are aimed to be doubled and the speeds of all non-suburban passenger trains will be increased by 25kmph in the next 5 years. This was announced in the Railways Budget 2016-2017
