If Malvani cuisine puts your taste buds into drool mode, try Aradhana Coastal Delight. Conveniently located near Khar station, this no-frills place serves some of the most lip-smacking fare. And that too, in hearty portions!
While their menu has a heart-winning variety of options (even Chinese, if you may please), their seafood thalis are worth relishing. However difficult you might find it to choose, you can’t really have them all in one go. Crab, fish, prawn or squid, pick your favourite. Within the fish set, you have choices – surmai, rawas, halwa, shell fish, bangda, bombil. What a dilemma! Depending on the seafood you opt for, you get a slice or portion of its preparation in true Malvani style.
The other thali inclusions are a small bowl of fish curry, grated cabbage and a complimentary serving of dried prawn sukhat chutney, which is wow. Ask for multiple servings, you won’t be charged for your greed. Isn’t that super cool! For the Indian bread accompaniments, choose from bhakri, chapati, wade, amboli or ghawan. After that, you will be served rice, which can be easily polished off with the curry. Round up your meal with the refreshing sol kadi. There’s the traditional kokum sherbet too.
In case you are interested in the other hot favourites from their menu, it’s the Chicken/Prawn Ghee Roast and Chicken Liver thali.
