Severe Landslide Washes Away Uttarakhand’s Valley Of Flowers Leaving Tourists Disappointed

A very severe landslide hit the beautiful valley of flowers nestled in the Garhwal hills in Uttarakhand inside the valley to heavy rainfall. The result of this severe landslide is that it disrupted the trek route as it developed cracks on Saturday. Hence looking at the current situation,  the valley is closed for tourists and will be reopened after the landslide is treated and the place is again safe for visitors. 

Valley Is Closed, No Chances To Be Taken

The landslide washed away the valley of flowers with cracks formed on the trek route. A district administration team visited the valley on Sunday in order who make sure that there are no tourists stuck in the valley due to landslides. They evaluated the whole situation and discussed ways to bring back connectivity. Divisional forest officer, Nand Ballabh Sharma spoke about the landslide that took place a little ahead of Dwaripul. He said that because it has a sliding zone and a glacier point the landslide is recurring in nature. As this can be dangerous and they don’t want to take any chances, the routes have been closed until further notice. They have also requested funds from the senior officials for treating the patch hit by the landslide.
