Singapore Voted The Most Preferred Destination For Post Pandemic Travel
About 10,195 people from 17 countries were interviewed for the survey, conducted jointly by Blackbox Research, Dynata and Language Connect. Among the Asian countries, Indians registered the most extreme eagerness to travel in the next 12 months, at 77 per cent. People from Thailand too are willing to travel soon at 70%, followed by Indonesians at 60%, Hong Kongers at 47%, and Filipinos at 46%. On the other hand, people from countries like Japan, New Zealand, Sweden and UK are not quite eager to travel internationally. Meanwhile, India is the current favourite South Asian tourist spot.
It also pointed out that Singaporeans are ready to welcome travellers again. An estimated 93 per cent people in the state agree to the fact that tourism is a major contributor to its economy. However, it also suggested that most people are set to avoid business-related travel, which can be a challenge to Asia’s major economic hub.
