There’s nothing like biting into a juicy burger, filled with crisp veggies, a chunky piece of protein, oozing spicy sauce and comforting cheese. Gone are the days when you’d rush to McDonald’s and Burger King for a delicious burger. After all, India is home to a plethora of homegrown burger brands that offer you varieties of lip-smacking veg and non-veg burgers with chatpata spices and sauces. So, here are 5 of the best Made-In-India burger brands that give tough competition to their global counterparts.

1. Biggies Burger Across India

Helmed by Biraja Prasad Rout, Biggies Burger started as a small kiosk in Electronic City in Bengaluru. Rout, who loved cooking, ventured into the food industry through his burger kiosk in 2011. The Indian burger brand claims to be the pioneer of grilled burgers. Today, Biggies Burger is spread across 25 cities with 71 outlets. Foodies can gorge on their bestsellers, Mushroom Burger, Lebanese Chicken Burger, Peri Peri Chicken Burger and more.

2. Johny Hot Dog In Indore

This is a burger list, don’t fret. Vijay Singh Rathore, a tea boy from Indore started Johny Hot Dog at the tender age of 11. The Indian brand serves lip-smacking vegetarian burgers called hot dogs for just  ₹30 each. Vijay’s youngest son, Hemendra Singh Rathore listed Johny Hot Dog on Uber Eats. Since then, the tiny eatery, Johny Hot Dog went on to become one of the most popular food brands in Indore. Johny Hot Dog sold 4000 hot dogs at ₹30 each, daily, beating fast-food giants like KFC and McDonald’s. Vijay Singh Rathore was also invited to the UberEats APAC Restaurant Partners Awards 2019 event in Hong Kong.

3. Wat-A-Burger Across India

Wat-a-Burger was started by Rajat Jaiswal, a commercial pilot and his childhood buddy Farman Beig. Rajat Jaiswal, the avid foodie started Wat-a-Burger to present his love for burgers to the world. Launched in 2016, as a single outlet in Noida, Wat-a-Burger has 60 outlets across India in 16 cities and 11 states. Their mouth-water fusion burgers like Peri Peri Chicken Burger, Aloo Achari Burger, Chicken Surprise Burger, Grilled Mutton Kebab Burger and more.

4. Jumboking In Mumbai & Pune

BOSS Burgers was launched by restauranter Riyaaz Amlani’s Impresario Handmade Restaurants. This cloud kitchen serves 16 types of burgers with 13 different sides like fries, nachos, chicken wings and more. Foodies can gorge on desserts like brownies, tiramisu and banoffee tart. The burgers are complemented by refreshing thirst-quenchers like paan pasand lemonade, guava lemonade, shikanji mojito and more. The burgers are juicy, wholesome and simply delectable.
