World’s Costliest French Fries Worth $200 Is Garnished With 23-Karat Edible Gold Dust

If there’s something that’s easiest to make in the kitchen other than chai or coffee is french fries. But sometimes we do order french fries in eateries too, as despite being simple, they’re utterly delicious. But a plate of french fries in a New York restaurant costs a whopping $200 (₹14,896). Ask why? These french fries are garnished with 23-karat edible gold dust. It is the world’s costliest french fries dish and has already entered the Guinness World Records.

French Fries Made With Gold And Champagne

Known as “Crème de la Crème Pomme Frites”, the dish of the costliest french fries has been launched by Serendipty3 in Manhattan, New York, USA. The restaurant has given a golden twist to the classic American snack. According to a Guinness World Records report, Creative Chef, Joe Calderone, and Corporate Executive Chef, Fredrick Schoen-Kiewert created this luxury french fries dish. Other than 23-karat edible gold dust, Dom Perignon Champagne, Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartufello cheese and J. LeBlanc French Champagne Ardenne Vinegar are also used in making these french fries. This means we can safely call them boozy too. The First & Only Museum Dedicated to Fries is Located In A 14th Century Building In Belgium

How Are These French Fries Made?

For making the fries, the potatoes are soaked in Dom Perignon Champagne and J. LeBlanc French Champagne Ardenne Vinegar to give them a sweet and tangy taste. They are then cooked in pure goose fat. The Guinness World Records guidelines say, “The dish must be available for purchase to the public, and an unbiased customer is required to buy it, to qualify for the title”. A customer recently bought the swanky plate of fries, and she was the first of the restaurant’s guests to savour the recipe.
