This Meerut Vendor Has Introduced A Bahubali Samosa!

Several sweet shops and vendors sell mouth-watering samosas but in a regular sizes. In Meerut, a sweet shop named Kaushal Sweets has introduced a Bahubali Samosa that weighs 12 kilograms! According to the owner, the enormous samosa is prepared by chefs in about six hours. He claimed that simply frying a samosa in a pan requires almost 90 minutes of labour from three cooks. About seven kilograms of the total weight is the savoury that is sealed inside the pastry cone.

The samosa is stuffed with potatoes, paneer, peas, spices and dry fruits. The owner claims that some people order the Bahubali Samosa for their birthdays and cut it. In addition to this, the owner has introduced a challenge for the foodies! Those who are able to finish the entire samosa within 30 minutes will receive a prize of ₹71000.

This Bahubali Samosa is one of the several types that have been introduced in the market. In fact, the traditional samosa originated in Persia and was baked instead of fried. Moreover, it was stuffed with minced meat! However, the Indian version uses spicy potato filling and the samosa is deep-fried.

Over the years, vendors have tried making this savoury dish with different stuffings. You will find corn and cheese samosa, pasta samosa, chocolate samosa and so on. Several vendors serve them with chole or pav.

Other than India, this snack item is also popular in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Tajikistan, South Africa, Ethiopia and so on.
